Anyone else watch the CW series "Arrow"? I was hesitant to give it a try, since CW mostly puts teenage girl drama crap on during it's prime time slots. But I decided to bite the bullet and watch the pilot as it was airing, and I'm glad I did! The moment I saw Deathstroke's mask (like 2 minutes into the pilot lol) I was hooked. I didn't care what else happened, I wanted to see Deathstroke, damn it! Ha ha ha. But it quickly grew to become my favorite show currently airing on television.
Slade Wilson first appears in Episode 13 of Season 1, during a flashback scene. From there onwards, it shows how he turns into Deathstroke, eventually even becoming the main bad guy of Season 2. While I have seen better versions of Deathstroke, I have seen way worse versions too. So I think they did a pretty decent job. Not outstanding, but I feel they did Deathstroke justice. Some people bash Arrow's version of Deathstroke, but I like it. And I'm one of the biggest Deathstroke fanboys you'll ever meet.
While, I'll admit, the show does have some teenage drama love-triangle stuff, expected from an original CW series. However, the great action and fight sequences, as well as the very solid story, more than make up for it.
They just started shooting Season 3 this past Wednesday (the 9th) and rumor has it they are going to release the first trailer for season 3 at Comic Con, which I believe is on July 24 to July 27. I can't wait.
You can watch all of season 1 on Netflix, if you have access to it. They are about to put season 2 on there as well.
Here in the US, Arrow airs Wednesdays at 7pm US Central Time (-6 GMT) on The CW network. Season 3 is scheduled to premier on October 8th, 2014.
